On Thursday morning we celebrated World Book Day which had to be postponed the week before due to the snow. There was a vibrant buzz around the school first thing as parents and teachers took part in a range of reading activities with the children dressed up in a wide array of costumes. This year we split into houses across the school so that the children could enjoy studying a book with other children from their house. Various reading activities took place including a parade within classes/year groups and an assembly led by our reading gladiators. Thank you to parents for the effort you put into various costumes and to our staff for the additional planning they put into making it a successful day. A display of the work undertaken by children is up in our hall which I hope you will have the
opportunity to view at some time.
