During this half term all year groups will have the opportunity to work with Essex Wildlife Trust on a variety of environmental projects. Here is a report from Year 4 about their experience:
Last Friday, Year 4 were scouring the school playing fields and the wildlife area for invertebrates with the Essex Wildlife Trust. Using magnifying glasses, nets and minibeast pots, all the children were catching insects to classify them according to their characteristics. The children were fully engaged with their activity and thoroughly enjoyed finding out the specific names of the creatures they caught.
“We saw massive spiders and it was really creepy but it was awesome,” stated Daniel Middleton from 4CO “I had a great morning!”
